Background:
The Bedford North Lawrence Stars baseball site is the official website of the BNL Stars baseball program. The site features team/player information, schedules, stats, news and photos. BNL Stars baseball coaches desired a website that fans of the BNL Stars program and community of Bedford, IN could visit to get up to date information about their baseball teams. They wanted a website that was easy to navigate as well as functional so college coaches and scouts could view information about prospective players. They wanted a website that the community could be proud of and would represent Bedford, IN in a positive fashion. Our Technique We met with the coaches, players and staff to determine the best route that would meet their requirements. We researched other sports related websites to gain knowledge of what would compliment the BNL site the best. Our approach was to create a content management system website that utilized a database management system by dynamically populating web pages. Using popular website development technologies such as ASP.NET and a SQL Server DBMS, we were able to meet and exceed our users' requirements. We created an online administrative control panel that allowed the BNL baseball staff the ability to log into the website, and maintain team and player information, including: schedule, scores, stats, photos, news & events, as well as a feature that automatically associated a player's name with specific news articles. We created a front page slide viewer that allowed visitors to see the latest happenings in the BNL Baseball program. Perfection Web Designs also created a BNL Baseball FaceBook page so fans could interact with the team and post their own comments/photos. Result
The final product was a stylish yet easy to use premium branded website for community members, fans, coaches, and players could appreciate. |
